2026-28 Music Alignments Announced
UIL has released the 2026-28 music alignments, to include area assignments. Geographically contiguous music regions are assigned to areas by the UIL, while also considering the projected number of competing schools based on recent region contest ratings.

UIL Essay Contest Deadline is February 11
Submit your essay for the Barbara Jordan Historical Essay Competition by February 11. All contestants will learn about an incredible person, movement, or organization in Texas, and finalists will also be eligible to apply for scholarships through TILF and earn their campus sweepstakes points.
Reclassification & Realignment Information
The 2026-28 alignments have been posted for volleyball, basketball and football.
Alignments for other events will be available no later than April 1st, 2026.

Legislation for all conferences is now posted.
- “Important Message: Additional legislation will be posted on each State docket so be sure to return to this webpage again for new bills and resolutions that will be debated at the State Meet. Dockets for State will have a total o 20 pieces of legislation — 10 for prelims and 10 for finals."
